Well, take a look at Ryan K Sherman, a Chicago-born artist who has found his place in the illustrious city of Nashville. “Living in Music City for the past three years has been incredibly rewarding. The amount of talent and opportunities for collaboration with other writers has opened up a whole new chapter in my life as a songwriter.” At the ripe age of 21, this folk-pop musician’s songs only keep getting better. The past year and a half have involved a series of eye-opening adventures for Ryan K Sherman. Spending time in Switzerland and Sweden, as well as a 5 months stint exploring the east coast and outback of Australia: “Every day my writing is improving, and I think it has to do with all the amazing things I have been blessed to experience in my life.” This summer, Sherman has plans to record a new single, which he hopes will capture his new, mature sound. The song will feature a number of musicians who the Chicago-native has collaborated with in the past. Jake Jorgovan of Rabbit Hole Recording is engineering the session, and co-producing the track with Sherman as well. At this point, the artist’s team is preparing to release the single through the movie or television medium, but the possibility of an accompanying single release is on the table. Ryan K Sherman has high hopes for 2011, in which he says, “My life next year is going to be all about getting my music out there. ‘Buried in my Mind’ has songs that I’m really proud of, but I’ve written so much since then. I can’t wait to show the world my new songs.”
