Parker Welling

Parker Welling is a talented and charismatic artist who has generated her very own, unique brand of country music. A songwriter by nature, she has been consistently writing songs since the tender age of 10 and has a large catalogue of hundreds of original songs. She has been taking her music to the stage since she was 15 years old. Her distinct voice sets her apart from other country entertainers. Her individual style of songwriting has been influenced by such artists as Willie Nelson, Emmylou Harris, Melissa Etheridge, Jewel, as well as many other acts.

Although she is a Nashville native, Parker spent the early years of her career as one of Canton, Michigan's best-kept secrets, but this determined singer/songwriter is not only ready to be discovered, but also to expose country music to a different crowd. Despite her young age, audiences of all ages and musical tastes find it easy to relate to this out-of-the-box singer/songwriter. Her one-of-a-kind vocal quality and unique sound quickly made her a favorite, packing out everything from coffee shops to large venues in the local indie scene where “emo” and rock bands once ruled.

Parker reflects,
“It was difficult to play to the “scene kids” at first—they gave me a lot of grief, but it has been so rewarding to see the typically anti-country crowd sing along with the songs I’ve written…. I guess that’s what’s so great about music-- it breaks down barriers.”

Indefinitely groundbreaking, Parker Welling pairs moving and memorable melodies with surprisingly relevant and clever lyrics that show experience and understanding far beyond her years.

Parker has always had a strong sense of who she is, and what she wants. This ambitious artist is currently twenty years old and mere months from graduating with a degree in Entertainment Industry Studies at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. She transferred to Belmont when she barely had a driver’s license, midway through her freshman year of college. She didn’t waste any time; it took her a matter of months to make the crucial contact she desired. By the end of her first semester she had landed a coveted internship which led to a paid position at 821 Entertainment Group as assistant to Nashville Star judge and music row royalty, Anastasia Brown. Anastasia, who has worked with the likes of Keith Urban and Sting, has been far more than a “boss,” she has truly become a friend and mentor, giving advice, supporting her dream, and even setting up private appointments with casting directors for Broadway, film, and television, as well as writing appointments with hit writers.
