From the fervent vocals of Ben Ringel, to the heart beat of Ben Azzi, it is without a doubt that The Delta Saints will leave you wanting more. As they have recently planted their feet in Nashville with Acklen Entertainment, The Delta Saints are taking their time to assemble the right pieces together to induce themselves into a thriving future of success. With their roots stemming back to Louisiana, The Delta Saints are pumping out a fusion of traditional southern soul and funk-inspired power, all layered with furious harmonica lines that simultaneously tie the group together and threaten to unseat it all in one sweep. Within this genre, the lead singer, Ben Ringel, is compared to a young Joe Cocker in the vocal aspect. With this individual being at the forefront of The Delta Saints’ horizon, who is to say what tomorrow will entail for this energetic group. It's an unsettling sound of strength. A strength fueled by talent and bridled by passion to relate to another that catches the attention of passers-by with its language-like quality. The essence of the Midwest and the Bayou work together to make a sound unique and befitting of Nashville. And the energy that sweats from this gritty howling dynamic is a message heralding love and loss and consequence. And though the songs may end, the intensity generated from the act of something old made new again will hauntingly remain. "I'd never heard or seen anything like it. These kids were showing up Led Zeppelin. Out-Pavementing Pavement. Out-foxing everyone who came before and possibly everyone who is to come in the future." - Mass Movement Magazine
"...an explosion of fierce, frenetic noise onstage makes a Delta Saints show one you'll never forget..." - LP33 thedeltasaints.com |
